In Australia’s Sydney, this year, Muslims have even planned to rope in non-Muslims for the Eid celebrations and for this they have arranged food from different parts of the world.
In UAE the moon is yet to be sighted and for this, a committee has been formed under Minister of Justice, Sultan bin Saeed Al Badi. Also, the Sharia courts will look for the moon and if it is in sight then the courts will inform the committee.
Initially, for most of the Muslim countries, The Islamic Crescent Observation Project (ICOP) – an International Astronomical Center which predicts about the prayer times, crescent observations etc had mentioned June 25 as the date of breaking fast.
